Is this real Vedic astrology or a horoscope generator?
Real Vedic astrology. Planetary positions are calculated with Swiss Ephemeris (arc-second precision) for your exact birth moment, using the sidereal zodiac. Your daily guidance combines your birth chart, your current Vimshottari Dasha and today's Panchang. AI is used only to explain the result clearly, not to invent it.
Do I need my exact birth time?
It helps, especially for your ascendant and houses. If you don't know it, tick "I don't know" during setup and you will still receive a meaningful chart and daily brief based on your Moon sign and nakshatra.
Why does my brief mention my city?
Sunrise, sunset, Choghadiya and Rahu Kaal change with location. AstroDristi uses the city you are in (or your birth city as a fallback) so the times you see are actually correct for you.
What is a "remedy"?
A small daily practice — a chant, a colour to wear, a charity, a fast or a temple visit — to strengthen a weak planet in your chart. You choose your tradition (Vedic North, Vedic South, Lal Kitab or Jain) and remedies are drawn only from that tradition.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your birth details are encrypted, never sold, and used only to compute your chart. You sign in with Google, so there is no password to manage, and you can delete your data at any time.
Is it free?
The daily brief, chart, Muhurta and remedies are free. Drishti AI includes 3 free sessions a month; a paid plan with unlimited sessions is coming.
